Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about requesting help in Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley.
- Do you handle water emergencies at night and on weekends?
- Requests are accepted around the clock. Emergency requests are reviewed based on provider availability at that hour.
- What areas do you cover?
- Eau Claire, Menomonie, Elk Mound, Colfax, Fall Creek, and Chippewa Falls. Coverage for a specific address depends on availability.
- How do I request help?
- Use the contact page or call the number in the site header to describe the situation. A local service coordinator reviews the request.
- Does submitting a request guarantee someone will come?
- No. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a provider will accept the project or arrive within a specific timeframe.
- Are you the company that does the work?
- 24/7 Flood Help is a lead-intake and service-request platform. A separate local provider performs any accepted work and confirms scope and terms.
- Should I move things out of the water myself?
- Only if it is safe to do so. Do not enter standing water near electrical panels, outlets, or appliances, and do not handle water that may contain sewage.
- What should I do about my insurance?
- Document what you see with photos before anything is moved or removed, and contact your insurer to understand your policy. Coverage decisions are made by your insurer, not by this website or the responding provider.
- Do you handle sewage backups?
- Sewage and other contaminated water is handled differently from clean water. Describe what you are seeing when you make the request so it can be routed appropriately.
Water where it should not be?
Request service and a provider can assess the situation and recommend next steps. Availability depends on location and scheduling.
